*On August 31, we held our annual homebrew competition. This year’s judging panel was graced by Marty Nachel, local beer aficionado and author of Homebrewing For Dummies, and Sean Mahoney, co-founder of BuckleDown Brewing, a fantastic small craft brewery and taproom just down the road from Vie in Lyons. Our own Chef Paul Virant, Chef de Cuisine Dan Compton and Beverage Director Bill Anderson also served as judges. While the competition was fierce, the beers you see featured on the Homebrew Dinner menu were deemed the winning brews, and we are really excited to be pouring them on the 5th. Congratulations to all!
